The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics trains highly-skilled specialists for the aerospace industry and other branches of the national economy.
Programs and specializations are mechanical engineering technologies; mechatronics; equipment and technologies of welding production; power-plant engineering; refrigeration, cryoengineering and conditioning; and standardization and certification. The faculty provides Bachelor’s degree programs in the areas of product design and production support for the machine building industry; innovation and robotics; machine building; refrigeration, cryoengineering and life support systems; and standardization and metrology. The faculty also implements Master’s degree programs in the areas of product design and production support for the machine building industry; machine building; refrigeration, cryoengineering and life support systems; and standardization and metrology.
The educational process is carried out by 6 departments. These are: the machine building technologies department; the aircraft welding department; the refregiration, cryoengineering and conditioning department; the quality and certification management department; the machine construction and engineering ecology department. The staff consists of more than 100 faculty, including 20 doctors of science and 40 candidates of science, among whom there are leading scientists of the Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, practitioners, and chiefs of engineering subdepartments and services of the industrial enterprises.
The training period is from 4 to 6 years, during which the students get both general and special training and also do practical work as workers and engineers in the enterprises. The students have the possibility to acquire additional education in the sphere of economics and management, and military education getting military rank after its completion.
The educational process involves both faculty and students to solve various real technical and technological tasks using the most modern equipment and industrial and experimental facilities.
Among the graduates of the faculty, there are directors and senior experts of the industrial enterprises of the Krasnoyarsk region and country.
